\"\"El arquitecto Virgilio Sol\u00f3rzano fue uno de los protagonistas del automovilismo venezolano de la d\u00e9cada del 70 e inicios de los 80, consagr\u00e1ndose campe\u00f3n nacional en la temporada 1980 en la competitiva F\u00f3rmula Ford que hab\u00eda sido dominada de forma consecutiva por Felipe Latil desde 1977.<\/p>\n

Formado en el karting arag\u00fce\u00f1o de los a\u00f1os 60 en los que tambi\u00e9n sum\u00f3 numerosas conquistas, en 1973 alcanz\u00f3 su primer triunfo en el automovilismo en la categor\u00eda F\u00f3rmula Vee, a\u00f1o en el que se consagr\u00f3 la talentosa Helen Bishof.<\/p>\n

El primer \u00e9xito de Sol\u00f3rzano en la FFord lo obtuvo en 1977 en la pista de Maracaibo y como se lee en esta rese\u00f1a de El Carabobe\u00f1o de 1979, volv\u00eda a lo m\u00e1s alto del podio en Turagua. Un buen volante con un manejo preciso y limpio, siendo adem\u00e1s una persona muy tranquila y amable, como lo record\u00f3 uno de sus rivales de entonces, Enrique Delfino. Alejado de pol\u00e9micas, sanciones o irregularidades t\u00e9cnicas, Virgilio Sol\u00f3rzano fue un verdadero caballero de las pistas que dej\u00f3 huella en el deporte a motor<\/p>\n
